Joshua Archiquette
Owner & Head Coach

Josh started training jiu jitsu in his mid-thirties. Like a lot of people that start jiu jitsu in their thirties, he was looking for a way to stay active and relieve some stress. He's been training 3-4 days a week since 2017 and hasn't looked back. Josh knew he wanted to teach jiu jitsu to others when he got his blue belt. His coach, 3rd degree black belt, Wade Barden, helped him move forward with that goal and continues to help hone his skills and teaching abilities.
"They say that 'a rising tide lifts all boats'. I hope my contributions rise the tide a little bit every day." - Josh Archiquette
Wade Barden

Wade started training in karate at 10 years old and started to assist in teaching at 13. After much dedication, he earned his black belt by the age of 14. While training and teaching Wade achieved 3 Grand Champion titles. Once reaching the rank of 3rd degree black belt, he switched gears and pursued Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). While he achieved multiple marks and trained multiple MMA champions in local organizations, Wade eventually decided to focus solely on BJJ. He earned his jiu jitsu black belt December 1st, 2011. Now training under renowned Black Belts Mark Vives and Jared Weiner, Wade has grown even more in his BJJ ability and achieved the rank of 3rd degree Black Belt.
“I love teaching martial arts; it’s what I was made to do. I enjoy learning from everyone I train, including my students. My goal is to teach everyone who steps on the mat to the best of my ability and share all I know. I want all of my students to be better than me one day.” -Wade Barden
